Did you see us in HGTV Magazine?

So excited to see our bright, coral pink Striped Umbrella and Beach Balls pillow featured in the June 2018 issue of HGTV Magazine!  It's truly one of our favorites for summer decorating at the beach - Don't be surprised if you find yourself daydreaming about fun in the sun after tossing this coral pink bright colored pillow on your sofa. Or anywhere that just needs a little happiness!

Look for us in the "50 Outdoor Pillows We Love" article in the June 2018 issue of HGTV magazine! One correction though, the price of these Made in America pillows is slightly less than what was in the magazine - they are $48.00, not $50.00

Bright pillows for spring and summer decorating are kind of our thing at Caron's Beach House and we have SO many ideas for adding a punch of fun with throw pillows for indoor, or outdoors at your home.

Here are just a few of our favorite beachy throw pillows for summer - also all under $50.00!

Very excited to see our bright pillow featured in HGTV, a great reminder that summer style can be so easy and very affordable to achieve at your beach home! Just toss in a few new pillows -

California Surf Inspired Bedroom

One of our fave custom surfing signs - just change the phrases and the location to make it yours!

Just for fun! Featured in HGTV in the June 2017 issue, a beach bedroom inspired with a California Surfer Vibe - perfect for a casual, lifestyle at the beach!  P.S. Also featuring one of our favorite indoor-outdoor rugs - the Navy Blue Rugby Striped area rug

We have some great idea of how you could easily recreate this casual, fun look at your "surf shack"!

  1. Start with a fun, durable easy-care rug!  I do like our Rugby Striped rug that was featured in the magazine - indoor-outdoor, reversible and cleans up with a hose and soap and water.  Perfect for a salty, sandy lifestyle at the beach.

The Pin-Striped Version is pretty cool too!
2. Add Cool Rope Pendant Lamps - Brand New on our Site!  So unique - and just the right addition to keep the surfer vibe theme.

Or for something really interesting... try The Medusa!

3. Use cool stools to double as nightstands. We love the idea of using these Harpoon Stools - the wood tops keep the surfing style all beach natural and simplified! )Several sizes available - the smallest one is $160.00)

4. Toss in a few seaside boho pillows...

Turquoise, and Yellow, Pink Embroidered Perimeter Pillows

Aiea Blue Sky Pillow - LOVE the design!

5. Finish off your room with a surfboard  - can be wall art or a vintage piece!  Our Spicher Retro Surf Art Collection has lots of options if you decide that wall art is more your style -

6. Finishing Touch? A pretty turkish towel - the perfect item to keep in your bag for all kinds of fun beach fun! We keep our turquoise one in our picnic basket!  Check out our Casual Beach House Throws for a complete selection -

Thanks again to HGTV Magazine for featuring our Navy Striped Rugby Area Rug!

We are Featured in HGTV Mag!

So excited to be part of the HGTV Magazine January-February 2017 issue, filled with lots of color updates and fun ideas!

We love the whole collection of modern decorating ideas that the editorial team, and the HGTV celebrities have curated to show off in the article,  'Little Finds, Big Impact" - everything from boldly designed table lamps, to throw pillows and brightly painted side tables.

"109 affordable home accessories that pack a punch without breaking the bank" - not to mention a whole page of "Mirrors pretty enough to be art" - and that is where you will find us, with our cool Red Pinon modern Rectangle Shell Mirror. Perfectly suited to add a happy seaside boho look! We love the deep red color and polished mother of pearl textured pattern in this mirror, a modern global feel that will instantly add a fresh pop of design to any room.

Can be hung horizontally or vertically - and can create an impact in any space.  Think about an entry way or a coastal bathroom update!
Hope you get a chance to pick up this January-February 2017 issue, or are lucky enough to have it arrive in your mailbox.  So many great ideas that are easy to do, and are not expensive, but could create an easy update at your home for this season.  A little imagination, some fresh paint, a new mirror and a few throw pillows and you can have a whole new look at your coastal home for a small cost.
Don't forget to enter the HGTV Dream Home Contest - really awesome beach home in St. Simons Island, Georgia - never know, you might win!  (At least I am hoping that I do!)

HGTV Blogger Block Party - Design Trends for 2016

I am a little bit late getting this blog post finally published!  Last summer while I was attending the New York NOW show, I had the opportunity to get invited to the HGTV Blogger Party at the HGTV offices in New York City. So fun! (excuse the cell phone images - was so excited to be there, that my picture taking skills may have suffered from celebrity sightings!)

All about Design Trends for 2016!

Met the absolutely adorable, Sara Peterson, Editor in Chief of HGTV!

Thanked her and her staff for including our store and products in several different HGTV Magazine issues over the past few years.  Sara was so incredibly gracious - love her! (even though I might have been slightly tongue-tied...)

And then the star of the show - Genevieve Gorder! Design Trends for 2016

Genevieve talked quite a bit about the Scandinavian,/Viking/Game of Thrones design trend that is happening right now.  (note her cute outfit!)  Includes unique woven textures, like chunky knits, rope and braiding, mixed with natural materials of bleached shells , driftwood, and sea grass, blended together to create a warm neutral decorating style.

After listening to Genevieve talk about this design trend,  I was inspired me to create our Beachcomber Decor Collection last fall.
"A little bit Scandinavian, hints of the Nordic with more than a dash of Northern Californian, this is one of our go-to coastal styles to welcome our friends and family to the beach!"

Nordic beach style was fun, but, the Cuban island influenced style is the one that I am the most excited about!

See Genevieve's slide above for a hint of the colors of this re-discovered Caribbean nation; shades of aqua, cerulean blue, deep turquoise, royal blues and emerald green. This design trend is tropical with a definite twist of  incredible Spanish and Moorish influenced art and (think Barcelona!) architecture. Imagine medallion circles and intricate tile shapes.. . So cool!

We've been seeing this design influence  in just about everything from rugs,to pillows, to lamps to wall decor. I do not expect this rich with color and captivating historic trend to go away anytime soon, especially since the USA is now opening up all kinds of doors to Cuba and to the Cuban people.  I love it.

Selfishly, I really would hate to see Cuba become something else and lose the true art that exists there...

Here are just a few of the new items that we've collecting in a new Coastal Style category that we will be calling Havana.  Hope you all enjoy!

Havana Coastal Style

Artisan Large Palm Rug - love the varying shades of blues in this!  (available in more colors too)

Blue Parrot Pillow - fun vintage shapes and bright colors!

Ten Palms Area Rug - love the blue palm leaves mixed with a "tiled" pattern

See what I mean?  I am totally captured by the romance of Cuba!

Look for this new re-vamped Caribbean island inspired design trend to be everywhere this year and continuing into the next several years!

P.S. We've been collecting all kinds of inspiration on our Cuban Art Pinterest Board - come take a look!

Fresh Looks for Outdoor Spaces - Look for Caron's in HGTV Magazine!

Every month, I can't wait for my HGTV Magazine to arrive in the mail. Their issues are always
chock full with fresh color and new home decorating inspiration. The most recent issue certainly did not disappoint!

The cover of the July-August 2015 issue has a fabulously styled "punchy" orange and "pale" blue (My personal favorite color palette!) front porch living area decorated with piles of beach-nautical pillows, pretty blue garden stools, a large roped lantern and a soft blue patterned outdoor rug.  Loved the whole look - incredibly inviting!  What a wonderful spot to curl up with a good adventure novel and a glass of iced tea, enjoying the view over the sea or a summer blooming garden...

Guess what?
HGTV's stylists choose our Veranda Nautical Orange Link Pillow to be featured in their "Copy of Our Cover" article on page 10, and then again on the Glidden Color Inspiration page!

Pretty excited to see our company name in "lights". Especially with one of our new summer Veranda pillows, the Orange Nautical Link Pillow featuring a fun modern, nautical-like feel in a bright orange and white linked design.
