Caron's Beach House Achieves Fab 100 Status with Rolf Glass

We're very excited about reaching this status for the second year in a row!   We LOVE selling Rolf Glassware on our coastal home decor website, Caron's Beach House, and have featured their glassware since 2010.

Tom and I met Rolf Poeting, the owner of Rolf Glass and his Director of Design, Paula Sansone-Johnson, at the first gift show we attended after moving to San Francisco in the summer of 2010. We immediately fell in love with their unique design sense, and their willingness to help a small fledgling business like mine. (Especially that part!)

Since then, we have sold and shipped countless boxes (thousands really, especially at the holidays!) of gorgeous American made coastal glassware all over the United States. Etched barware and wine glasses with designs of: Schools of Fish, Seashells, Seahorse, Sea Turtles, Herons, Compass Rose, Sailboats, Palm Trees, and of course our fair share of Pirates!

Whenever we get the chance, we make seeing Rolf and Paula a priority at the markets we attend. Had such a great time visiting with them in their new showroom in Vegas at the Winter Market this past week!

The best part?  We get to see all of the new designs up close and personal....

Enjoy my few Iphone shots in their showroom!

Rolf and Paula will continue to innovate and we hope to continue our wonderful partnership with them!

A Collection of Beach Cottage Bedroom Inspiration

Maybe a beach cottage look for my bedroom would work best? Now this is a look that I can probably pull off in my house! For me, a beach cottage look means layers of softness, and surrounding myself with my favorite things: books, found beach art, collections of shells and sea glass.

Before I closed the store in Poulsbo, I did bring home one special thing for myself... my white iron shabby-chic bed. I have no shortage of bright colors, piles of pillows (one of my favorite things at Caron's Beach House)  and I have willingly admitted many times to my "crush" on linens and throw blankets.  Tom makes fun of me because I like so many layers and pillows!  (secretly I think he likes it)

Pretty room featured on HGTV's website!   Love the art, natural woven baskets for beach-like storage, and the natural burlap shades on the Regina Andrew lamps.  P.S. You can find those fun Oval Recycled Lamps on our site!

Not sure if this would work in my house - I don't have a shred of tropical decor.  I do live in California though, so maybe I could pull it off?  Love the driftwood shade of wicker mixed with light blues.  Great use of  a series of shell prints featured above the headboard.  (Design Crush: Phoebe Howard)

See - patterns don't have to match, as long as the colors mix well. Blues and greens mix extremely well!  Author, Mary Kay Andrews' home on Tybee Island, Georgia (source: bhg.com)

Cozy with layers of quilts and throws!  Can't you feel the slight breeze blowing in?

Elegant mirrored accented art and side tables combine with subtle blues and breezy white in this Meg Braff Palm Beach bedroom makeover featured in House Beautiful to create a luxurious retreat!

Pretty bedroom featured in Coastal Living! Fred and Tiffany McWhorter's adorable home on Bald Head Island, North Carolina.

Small, inviting room featured in Coastal Living.  Love the wicker, but I think it needs a few more "beach-like" elements.  What do you think?

Nothing but white.... so pretty! So not practical for me - I spill coffee. Frequently.....

A seaside bedroom full of beach romance... Now to figure out how to hang a tiny chandelier in my room?

A hint of "Radiant Orchid"? I like it! Great color combo with the sea green glass vase....

What can I say? Another beautiful room captured by Brian Vanden Brink's lens...  Love the buttercup yellow and blues...

Cute idea for the top of the headboard!  (source unknown)

Time for a Coastal Bedroom Redo. How about a Nautical Theme?

What better way to begin a New Year than to change up your very own private retreat?  I need my bedroom space to recharge my batteries.  You know what I mean?  Space to spread out and check out the latest Coastal Living Magazine, or maybe just simply dive into a big juicy novel.

After I get all of the Christmas decorations put away, (our bedroom is the storage area during the holidays) I can finally begin to see the light and am ready to try something new for 2014.  Not sure yet exactly what I want to do, but here's a few ideas that I have been collecting!

How about a nautical theme? Or in my case, it always has to have a little twist....

From Greg Norman's family beach house in Hobe Sound, Florida.  Love this - great "nautical" colors, but not overwhelmed with a marine theme.  I could do this. (featured in Coastal Living Magazine)

Ah...peaceful and fresh feeling with all of the white bedding.  Crazy about the navy blue and white striped headboard and matching bedskirt.  Wonderful use of space with the shelf above the bed too!

Really, really like this!  A slight "British Colonial" feel, with nautical black and white art countered against all of the red and white.  The signal flag pillows add just the right extra nautical punch. Great room from Joy Tribout Interiors!

Almost a little "French" Seaside style with the ticking stripes!  Cute pom-pom throw on the end of the bed too - (TheLetteredCottage.net)

More of a cottage type of look - but where's the lighting? Cool round window though! Photographed by Andrew Waller, featured in House and Home

Or we could play it safe and go with a Barclay Butera nautical style room....

Love this sophisticated room in the Hampton Showhouse! Don't think that there is any way that Tom would go for the wave canopy bed in our tiny bedroom.  Cool pillows and digging that indigo blue wall.

Sailor Style from Coastal Living.  Love the subtle shades of gray blues and white. Great use of vintage oars on the wall. I do not like the canoe on the ceiling - would lay awake all night waiting for it to fall down.  Nope, would not work for us!

Or how about this idea?  My very own yacht stateroom!  From Coastal Living, this would be great for a small space with the fun brass wall sconces and round porthole like mirror.

Ah.... what to do?  Later this week, maybe I will take another look at some beach cottage
bedroom ideas.

What do you all think?

Pool and Play House Fun with a Touch of Beach

Another fun idea for vintage boating life rings!  I love how this decorator mom used this found "vintage" (or not so vintage?) life ring as a handy way to hang and display a soft cozy blanket for her teen age girls.  Just an adorable, kid-friendly space!

The aqua blue lockers are truly an awesome idea for kids! What a great way to store swim suits, flip flops and extra towels.

Love this idea too, using rope in a tight unused corner as towel bars!  Brilliant -
