More Blue and White Nautical Decorating Ideas!

Check it out! Caron's Beach House had three blue and white Nautical decorating products featured this summer in 425 Magazine!   Great collection to inspire some maritime updating, and great advice to not go "overboard" when decorating with a nautical theme.  Love how they grouped together these fun home decor items with a nautical, seafaring feel, sticking to just a few color shades.

We were very excited to have the style editors pick a number of our products for their gorgeous lifestyle magazine out of Bellevue, Washington.   I do have to admit though,  I was more than a little homesick for my "Seattle" after getting our copy in the mail!

Love Notes from Coastal Customers

Whew!  Checking in from Portland, Oregon...

We are on the road again this week to visit our friends and family in the Northwest - spent over 12 hours in the car today driving up from Half Moon Bay to our first stop in Portland.  Feels like we are still driving 75 mph, even though we are sitting at Tom's mother's dining room table!  Crazy day of travel, broken computers, no wifi and temperatures soaring over 100 degrees.  (way too hot for the NW!)  Cannot even begin to share my frustration of not being able to connect with customers or even answer my cell phone, as the reception up and down the mountain passes through Shasta and then through Siskiyous is spotty at best....

Then I sat down to answer customer service e-mails and place orders from today, and this message popped up on one of the orders received today -

"I am so excited to find your beautiful art. Ordering this for my first Granddaughter. Belle is a significant name in our family!"

Needless to say, my day got a whole lot better.

Classic Coastal - Blue and White Decorating

How can you go wrong with using shades of deep blue and crisp white when decorating a beach
house? The answer is; you really can't miss when applying this classic nautical decorating style at your home!

I have been collecting Blue and White room images on our Pinterest Boards, and thought I would show off a few of my faves for inspiration!  I tend to gravitate to more aquas and driftwood shades with a splash of red at my house, but I do LOVE the fresh, clean feel of blue and white.

Using different patterns, fabrics and textures, blue and white decorating can be an incredible way to mix and match pillows, rugs, lamps and accessories with season changes or whenever you need an "attitude" change.

Bonus with blue and white? Using the right textures and patterns can feel "beachy" without using any obvious beach "themed" stuff; ie: anchors, shells, coral, ships, fish etc.

Nautical Cozy in Nantucket! (Traditional Home) Check out the crisp, "non-slouchy" slip-covered navy blue sofa and love seat with white piping.  Great combo with natural rattan.

The 2015 HGTV Dream Home was chock full of blue and white coastal details - loved the guest bedroom!
