Chic Sunset Cruise - Coastal Living Magazine

What a great idea from Coastal Living Magazine in the May 2017 issue! Have a sunset cruise (or picnic...) with added elegance and a touch of coastal chic - we love their mix of items to pack in your picnic basket.  I was also super excited to see that they chose our fun Teal Green Acrylic Nesting Wine Glasses to part of their Sunset Cruise mix!

Here are a few ideas from our Caron's Beach House store that we think will also add to your spring time "chic" seaside outdoor dining look!  Inspired by the coral and teal shades found in the Coastal Living Magazine article-

Fabulous Coral Reef Dinner Plates - who says Melamine has to be boring?

Must haves - pretty nautical serving knives to serve your delish gourmet cheese.

Outdoor Pillows create an inviting space, plus they encourage lingering longer in a cozy atmosphere!

Another must have for any outdoor picnic or bay cruise; plenty of easy care throws for guests to stay warm (especially with unpredictable spring coastal weather!)

Avalon Striped Cotton Throw - can't go wrong at only $43.80!

Have to admit... I am a little partial to these indoor-outdoor Island Vintage Tile throws.  Made of 100% recycled Polyester and knit into a very soft, fine throw blanket - machine wash and dry.

All set - now to just pour the wine!

Teal Nested Wine Glasses - $23.95 for a set of 4

Thanks again to Coastal Living for featuring one of our favorite (practical!) spring and summer dining Al Fresco pieces!

P.S. Their 20th Anniversary Issue is packed with tons of great ideas!

Our Aruba Blue Striped Rug is Featured In Coastal Living!

So excited to see colorful fun Newport Bay Aruba Striped rug on the front cover!

I grabbed a Coastal Living March 2016 issue at the airport in San Francisco before jumping on the plane to Maui this past week and was thrilled to see our Surya Newport Bay rug featured in the "Color Crush" article and on the front cover, photographed by David Tsay (one of my faves) and styled by Lindsey Ellis Beatty (also one of my fave magazine stylists!)

Hope you all have a chance to check out the delightful, beachy mix of turquoise, coral and yellows  - always a hot coastal color combo for us!

Get the Look!

Here's the way-cool Aruba rug - love the versatility! Wide turquoise blue and cream stripes on one side, and coordinating skinny stripes on the reverse.  Two rugs for the price of one!

and just for fun - how about adding a little whimsy with starfish shaped pillows?
Love these!

Or maybe an Ikat pattern?

Don't forget to add a touch of natural sea grass - just add baskets!

I might even add a throw across the chair or across the settee - we love the modern, yet tropical pattern of these super soft Beach Blue throws!

Don't get me started - we have so many ideas to use this color combination to create a warm inviting space at your home!

Don't forget to see Pages 33 and 34 in the "Color Crush" article for more ideas and details!

Thanks to Surya, Coastal Living Magazine and Lindsey Ellis Beatty for choosing us to be part of this fun article!

Caron's Beach House has a Featured Product in Coastal Living Mag!

So excited!  We were not sure that our little table would make the final cut for the article in April, and we were not sure exactly where our Antique Tortoise Table would appear in the the magazine.
Imagine my surprise and delight, when we were in our local New Leaf grocery store and I happened to pick up a copy of the April issue of Coastal Living at the check out while standing in line. Woo Hoo - there was our cute little coastal bamboo table, part of the "Get the Look - Anguilla" article!  I began to do a happy dance all around the other shoppers (much to Tom's embarrassment....) and bought 3 copies to send to our families.

Have to share Coastal Living's ideas and show off a little...

Love the butter yellow and light aqua-mint green combination of the resort rooms at Malliouhana. Relaxing, stress free coastal shades, as well as fresh and spring-like.

Combined with a touch of black and white in the artwork, this room comes alive, and doesn't feel "beach cottage", but actually much more elegant. I also think that the bamboo-rattan touches give this room a more island feel with a nod to British Colonial style.

And here we are!

Here's a few ideas from Caron's Beach House to capture "The Look".

Honestly, I am not crazy about the turquoise blue lamp and blue shade that were featured in the magazine. Personally I would go just a tad bit more subtle, but still keep the coral (one of our favorite looks!)  This white coral lamp from Regina Andrew Design might work perfectly with its' charcoal shade and elegant crystal details.   I also like this one because the coral does not look "fake" (really dislike fakey beach decor...)

Or maybe just a pretty turquoise glass lamp?  We just sent two of these Hatteras Seabreeze lamps to a new Margaritaville Hotel being built in Miami!

Yellow Stripes - love these new rugs that we just added for spring. The rugs are 100% cotton and reversible, wide stripes on one side, skinny stripes on the other side.  Two beach house rug looks for the price of one!

Or if you prefer, we have more colors to choose from!

There's just something about Black and White art that fascinates me.

And don't forget a fun throw to curl up with, and watch the sunset from that fabulous patio!
Love these aqua ruffled mint throws - just for that extra touch of interesting texture and design to complete a room.

Would love to hear what you all think about this color combo!
