Sea Glass Bookends

As you all know.... I have a real problem with collecting sea glass.   I just like it, no other excuse than that - have jars, boxes, bowls, full of sea glass from the West Coast.  (Let's not even get started with my shell collection addiction!)

Thought you all might like this idea for displaying your treasures!  These glass jars used to be for sale in my old store, "Caron's... the finest in coastal living" - kept them because they are so large, perfectly suited for showing off beach combing treasures.

Now they are partially full, (yay - I can pick up more sea glass!) and make wonderful bookends on my entry way bookshelf.

Any jar would work though.  Hmmm.... I do have a box packed with vintage aqua blue mason jars.  Now where did I put that box??

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. The jars have such nice lids... I love that way of showing off tiny treasures. And I sure wish I had a box of blue mason jars hiding around here.

  3. Great idea! I'd fill it with a few beach rocks, just to make sure it's heavy enough.

  4. I love this idea! You've seen my jars on the porch and deck - you can never have too many jars and dishes filled with beach glass! Free riches, right?

  5. Hi Caron, I'm back from my holiday up north. Great to catch up. This is a brilliant idea. I too love the lids... By the way, how fabulous is that book "The Way We Live By The Sea"... I can lose myself for hours in that book. Pruxxx
